Taylor Hunter [@misstaylorhunter] is a multi-hyphenate artist, creative director, and storyteller whose work bridges photography, writing, and immersive experiences.

Born in the small town of Marksville, Louisiana yet inspired by the pulse of New Orleans, her work is known for contrasting soft and sultry qualities – offering audiences an immersive experience that evokes a “felt like you were there” sense of presence.

Hunter has always found herself drawn to the beat of nightlife culture. Her love for music called her to document these spaces of expression and release – an ascent that can’t be reduced to a single conventional concept of what nightlife encapsulates. These intimate spaces Hunter documented are portals – sacred dance floors where subcultures collide and identities are set free.

There are versions of ourselves only unveiled in the rhythm of the night — unguarded and raw. Through the lens of the female gaze, Taylor captures these moments with shadow, power, and feeling.

𝙨𝙘𝙚̀𝙣𝙚 represents an archival documentation of the New Orleans nightlife scene from 2019–2023 and focuses on the individuals who support the community via presence, embodiment, and celebratory joy.
